We have had a great holiday here. The Gites really make a perfect “home” from where to explore the beautiful area.

Travelling with our 6 year old Fleur was truly completed by the great garden with very cool equipment for her to play with. This made for nice relaxing afternoons for ourselves too.

The places we visited included. Carnac, Vannes on a Wednesday, the nicest city in the area, with a lovely welcoming atmosphere at the market. The area of Brockeland forest with the towns of Paimpont and Concoret are really charming and worth a visit.

We ate lunch out as recommended by Simon and Lesley at the “Relais de la Gare” which was truly unbelievable value for money; also in Locmine the pizzeria “Churrasco” was very good with great service too.

We would defiantly stay at “Le Grange Gites” again if we would visit the area again

Thanks for a lovely holiday

Dorothy, Jerome and Fleur, Co Kerry, Ireland, October 2009

P.S. The Creperie Grill “La Sarrazine” in Josselin is very good.

Really great week with help from Simon and Lesley

They have been great hosts and have built a solid holiday home for all to enjoy.

Whilst the Gite and gardens have great attraction the surrounding area is well worth exploring and easy to access.

We would look forward to returning.

David and Mary, East Sussex, September 2009

We have had a lovely holiday in Willow Gite.

The Gite was very comfortable and clean. The situation is quiet and peaceful and the surrounding area interesting and unspoilt. The flowers and hanging baskets give the Gites a welcoming first impression.

The “Out and About” folder was very useful. We visited places such as Vannes, Josselin, Quiberon, as well as the nearby Sculpture Park and lake. Also the Locmine Thursday market. We enjoyed them all.

The weather has been a bit cloudy, but mostly dry, fortunately on our last day the sun came out and we were able to have a swim in the pool, which was lovely and warm.

Simon and Lesley are welcoming hosts and we certainly plan to visit “Le Grange Gites” again in the future.

John and Sylvia, Cheshire, September 2009

We had a good week, the weather was very good.

This place is in such a central position with so many places to visit.

Auray a favourite, lovely canals at Josselin, lovely sandy beach at Quiberon with plenty of Bars and cafes, beware of the lady there in the blue coat and red skirt who likes to talk to you, any language will do!

The pool here was very welcome 31deg! – Most enjoyable!

All in all we had all had a restful week. Still plenty to see and do for next time

Thank you Simon and Lesley

Malcolm and Pat, Cornwall and Pat and Bob, Hampshire, September 2009

We have had the most relaxing, chilled out holiday here. The weather was unexpectedly good, so we made the most of the lovely garden and the pool

We went for a few days out – can definitely recommend the Chateau and Sculpture park and gardens just a few minutes away, also Josselin and Vannes – had wonderful seafood platters by the harbour.

More locally we found a few of the local restaurants, but the Ville au Vent in Locmine was good, and we also went to the Churrasco restaurant a few times

We also agree with the comments about the friendliest bar man! That runs the Bar du Centre in Moreac and was so lovely!

We also used the mobile Pizza van in Moreac on Wednesday night as the other restaurant was closed.

Thanks to Lesley and Simon for the warm welcome – and also delicious eggs, jam, salad and potatoes from the garden, we are not looking forward to going home!

Ruth and Nigel, Kent, September 2009

Thank you very much for a fantastic holiday, wonderful hosts and a beautiful Gite.

After a long journey the kids (Abbie and Jack) settled right in, playing with all the other children from other Gites, it’s a brilliant set-up that you’ve got here.

Abbie and Jack especially enjoyed playing with Jake, who we must say was brilliant with them, and in the swimming pool.

We wish you all the best and hope that we will return in the not to distant future

This was our first experience of a Gite holiday in France. We have had a wonderful experience here and the weather was fantastic!

Lesley, Simon, Josh and Jake have been great hosts.

Nathaniel, Thomas and Jude have enjoyed the company of the other children staying here and the pool was the icing on the cake!

The area is lovely – our favourites:

· Quiberon – the ice cream shop was brilliant
· Vannes – a lovely town and market
· Carnac and Trinity-Sur-Mer – beaches for the rock pools
· Erdeven – was lovely also for the children.

Thanks for a lovely, relaxing holiday here at Le Grange Gites

We would love to return!

Lesley, Stuart, Nathaniel, Thomas and Jude, Staffordshire, August / September 2009

We’ve had a great holiday in a lovely Gite with helpful hosts. The surrounding area is beautiful with lots to do.

Weather was good and we particularly enjoyed Erdeven beach – beautiful sand stretching for miles and great rock pools. Forest Adrenaline near here is excellent for all ages – So good we went there twice!

Ate out in the Creperie in Erdeven – lovely crepes. Lunch in the central restaurant in Locmine was good quality and value – very enjoyable sitting outside.

We love France and I’m sure will make a return visit.

Thank you

Julia, Tim, Anna (7) and Jessica (5) Bedfordshire, August 2009

Thank you for another wonderful two weeks holiday in Bramble Gite.

It was great doing all the activities we enjoyed last year, especially the beach at Erdeven. Great cycling, as well, along the local canals

Josh very happy and content and Caleb loved playing with his friends from the other Gites.

We look forward to our visit next year

Many thanks, for a lovely two weeks!

Alan, Cindy, Josh and Caleb, Swindon, August 2009

Thank you Simon and Lesley for being such wonderful hosts. You’ve made a great achievement here, inspiring stuff!

We’d add for other visitors to come that we enjoyed the beaches of Etel and Erdeven

Thanks Simon for fielding my endless questions about the renovations, we’ll come back we’ve thought of some more. Fantastic Place!

Tim, Sally and Digby also Jamie, Suzanne and Lily, Brighton, August 2009

We have had a lovely holiday. The Gite has been perfect, great for children.

Lucy and Grace have especially enjoyed the pool and garden

We have had some fab days out, so much to do! The info book you provide was very useful

Many happy memories, thank you

Julie, Hoe, Lucy (5) and Grace (2), Blackburn, August 2009

We’ve had a fantastic fortnight in the Cider House.

The accommodation and facilities were of a very high standard.

Our boys loved the pool and feeding the animals.

Were all really sorry to be leaving but all good things must come to an end!!

Thanks to Simon, Lesley, Josh and Jake for being so welcoming and sharing their local knowledge.

Bye for now

Julie, Adrian, Ben and Oliver, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, August 2009

Lovely setting, excellent standard of accommodation and facilities

Wonderful hosts; friendly and informative – nothing appears to be too much trouble

Great base from which you can travel to many beautiful and interesting sites we particularly enjoyed Josselin and Vannes

Would highly recommend a visit to the local Creperie – good food and service

We have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here and will likely return

Michelle and Adrian, Shropshire, August 2009

We have had a great time, Simon, Lesley and family are very, very helpful

The pool is superb and so well looked after and the children loved the animals

I do not think I have been to a more child friendly and welcoming place

Thank you

Vicki, David, Millie and Henry, Shropshire, August 2009

We came as an extended family to celebrate a special birthday and were in three of the four Gites

Simon and Lesley made us very welcome ads did their boys, Josh and Jake.

Nothing was a problem and they went out of their way to ensure we had all we needed, including French “negotiation” with the local supermarket in Moreac for Roast Chickens and Potatoes for our special meal, and colourful table cloths for the garden picnic benches, where we all ate en famille

All together it was a happy and memorable visit, Thank you

Janice, and Dennis, July 2009 (Bignell Family)

I liked staying in Willow Gite, because it felt like home to me.

I like the pool because if you go around the outside the water follows you around like a whirlpool.

Also the climbing equipment is good for small children as well.

If you go to a deer park there is climbing equipment and even Crazy Golf, (Nazin)

Rebecca age 8

Everything here made a holiday with children very easy. Everything has been anticipated and so Rebecca is quite right, it was home from home.

The rooms are all comfortable; the kitchens have everything you’d need; the garden is perfect for families; the stair gates and locking exterior doors, garden and pool gates are real peace of mind.

We all enjoyed the pool very much; it is a holiday full of memories.

Nigel, Marie, Becky and Luke, Surrey, July 2009 (Bignell Family)

What a lovely Gite to stay in. All facilities were excellent. Pool was fantastic and Jack could have spent the whole week in it! Hosts were very friendly and Jack had a great time with Jake

The Cider House Kitchen facilites were excellent – particularly the cooking facilities as there were large oven dishes

Thanks for a lovely week

Fiona, Laurie, Karen and Jack, Herefordshire, July 2009 (Bignell Family)

Our second holiday here at Le Grange Gites and another wonderful time. As before it has been so relaxing and friendly, the pool and garden are wonderful

Discovered Port Navalo this year, which was, quite a drive but well worth it – lovely beach and play area

Thanks again and hope to return!

Emma, Dave, Jacob and Lynley, Northants, July 2009

Immediately after arriving here after a long and hectic journey we began to relax and the kids (Zoe and Sam) started to enjoy themselves.

Simon and Lesley are helpful and friendly hosts and should be congratulated on the restoration of these Gites.

We have enjoyed ourselves here and on our journeys around and about.

I am sure we will return

Thank you

Kevin, Joanne, Zoe and Sam, Standish, Wigan, July 2009

Richard and Family, Woolgoolga, Australia, July 2009

Another enjoyable visit

We recommend the train ride to Quiberon from Auray, the castle at Suscinio, the Monday market at Auray, the Pont-Avon battlements and shops

Have a meal at “Routier de Gare”, be there at 12:00

The Henman Family, East Sussex, July 2009

Thanks for a warm welcome and all the hints and tips.

We had a great break in this wonderful part of Bretagne.

Simon, Lesley, Josh and Jake are cool, the pool was great!, I made a cool friend Lucy here, it was cool!, I will miss Daisy and the Chickens very much and Stupid the hen. (Annabel)

Stefan, Caroline, Annabel and Ben, Scotland, July 2009

A fantastic Gite in a lovely location

Thanks to Simon and Lesley for being so welcoming and for assisting us with their local knowledge

I made a lovely friend; Thanks for letting me feed the chickens. I will miss stupid! (Lucy)

Brian, Caroline, Lucy & William, Aberdeen, Scotland, July 2009

Another fantastic stay at Le Grange Gites

The Cider House is fantastic (My wife wanted to move in and stay), Simon, Lesley and boys are great hosts and make you feel very welcome.

We will be coming back next year.

Dave, Val, Craig and Zoe, Manchester, July 2009

We had a fantastic holiday. The fully enclosed garden is perfect for keeping a watchful eye on young children and Simon and Lesley were so friendly and always willing to answer questions or help in any way they could.

Our favourite places included the lake at Naizin, the zoo at Pont-Scorff and the beach at Carnac (we hired a tent on the beach which was great for keeping the children in the shade).

We also felt very welcome in the village, the bar owner (I can't remember the name but it's the one facing you if you are outside the shop and looking up the hill) was especially friendly.

Julian, Lucy and Girls, Tiverton, Devon, June 2009

Two weeks of bliss. This is the 5th Gite we have rented in Brittany and is the best by far.

To have English speaking owners has been a real bonus as our French is pathetic, and they even managed to organise good weather for us!

We would stay for the rest of the summer, but think the bank manager may not be sympathetic!

Dave, Hilary, Daniel and Pam, Whitchurch, Hampshire, June 2009

A truly memorable holiday – they say you’ll always remember where you were when someone famous dies – well we were here when Michael Jackson died…

This Gite and your facilities have been exactly what we were looking for in a holiday.

You have done a very good job of the Gites, lovely and bright and its good to be able to let the girls play without worrying where they are!

We’ve had a great week – the Gites are lovely and just right for our young girls and us – they had great fun in the garden and the pool and making friends.

We had a lovely day at Carnac – good shelters for hire at the beach, Shady and cool, €13 euros per day, €10 euros for half a day – well worth the cost. We also had ice cream at “Igloo” – next to the ch’ti pub!

Thanks to all four of our hosts – so friendly and helpful – we’ve had a very relaxing week – just what we needed. We wish you all the best with your Gites – you’ve done a great job to them and picked a nice location

Rebecca, Adrian, Isabella and Georgia, Chateauxbriant, France, June 2009

Excellent holiday location, especially for biking along canals and rivers with surrounding areas providing wonderful bird life opportunities

Also a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere prevails and we also enjoyed the jam and vegetables

Will happily recommend “Le Grange Gites” – you deserve to be successful

Marion and David, Guildford, Surrey, June 2009

Thank you Simon, Lesley, Josh and Jake for a lovely holiday! You were all so helpful and welcoming!

We loved the Gite and can’t believe how you have thought of everything to make your guests stay, easy and relaxing.

Once again, many thanks

Lisa, Gary, Mason (5) and Mia (3), Keighley, West Yorkshire, June 2009

A very restful place, very competent hosts (Simon and Lesley), unobtrusive but go the extra mile to ensure your comfort

The 4 seasons restaurant in Moreac is well worth a visit

Well equipped, well maintained, lovely

Thank you, Mike and Doreen, Cape Town, South Africa, June 2009

Just a quick email to say how much we enjoyed our visit to Bonehan.
We had never been to Brittany before and thoroughly enjoyed the area.
What stunning old buildings in the towns around you!
You have truly chosen a stunning place to settle.
We live in a similar rural area but our roads are far busier than yours.
There are cows over the road from us and fields of sheep nearby, and it is very green here.
I still think you got the best deal!
The hog-roast in the village was great fun. Your Gites are lovely.
Good Luck for the future.
Dee & Steve (Red MG), MG Owners Club, UK, June 2009

A great venue and Gite but the weather took its toll, however, we still had a great time

Thanks again

Brian and Benilda, Devon, June 2009

A fantastic week, excellent Gites, excellent weather, very comfortable with friendly hosts!

Ros, Chris, Edward and Marcus, Cheshire, June 2009

Thanks for another fantastic holiday. The gites were wonderful as usual, a real home from home. Thanks jake for spending so much time with james, he had a lovely time with you.
See you all again soon.

Jeanette, Paul & James, Fintshire, May 2009

We really enjoyed our stay, - weather has been glorious!

The Gite and gardens are very child friendly, which is a major plus point when you have a 20 month old to keep an eye on!

Simon and Lesley are always about to ask anything from directions to places to getting charcoal for the BBQ’s!

Would definitely visit again and would recommend Vannes (especially if you like shopping!!!)

My husband and fellow men staying in the other Gites at the same time went to the local pub in Moreac to watch the football match one evening and they really enjoyed it, he says everybody was really friendly and the Barman was a nice helpful guy!

Lastly DON’T buy green top milk, as its not semi-skimmed, it’s gone off milk which is used in Crepes, we made that mistake and wasted three bottles! Should have checked Simon and Lesley’s email and website as it warns of this

The Armitage Family, West Yorkshire, May 2009 (Bramble and Ivy)

A great week, excellent weather, ideal location for 3 generations. Play area is great for little ones, good clean accommodation and close to the local amenities
