We have had a wonderful stay in the Ivy Gite. We are impressed with the standard of finish to all rooms in the Gite. We would want for no more. We think you have provided a first class holiday accommodation, and have inspired us all.

Congratulations on all your hard work and fantastic outcome. We will see you again soon.

Dave, Ivis, Mireille and Stephen, Cardiff, Wales, November 2007

What more can we say, that has not been said but thank you both for making us feel welcome and having a pleasant stay.

Sylvia and Brian, Cardiff, Wales, November 2007

Thank you, Lesley and Simon, for welcoming us to Willow Gite! It has been a great base from which to explore the surrounding area.

The Gite is well equipped and comfortable and the log fire brilliant!

Wishing you all the best for the future

Regards, Carol and Andrew, Cardiff, Wales, October 2007

We are really impressed with all that you have achieved. From the photo’s you started with an empty shell and have created a wonderful home and set of Gites. Well Done

Thank you both for your warm welcoming your friendship, and your advice with looking for a property of our own. Hopefully we will have the inspiration to work as hard as you have, and hopefully, if we can find somewhere close by, we will keep in touch.

Best wishes from Mike, Caroline, Thomas and Oliver, Bath, Somerset, October 2007

Ps the boys will keep in touch by email.

We have all enjoyed our stay in your Gite and would recommend it to anyone.

We really liked the area, and the weather, for the time of year has been perfect.

Nigel, Shirley and Paul, Alicante, Spain, October 2007

We were impressed with the layout of the Gites, with a warm welcome from Simon and Lesley who were willing to answer queries we had about relocating to France.

Although we were on a house-hunting mission, we feel that the area is well located for a holiday.

We will recommend Le Grange Gites to friends, especially those with children – the play area has been well thought out and safety taken into consideration.

Sandra and Peter, Plymtree, Devon, October 2007

We have enjoyed our holiday, lovely weather and an excellent location for exploring the area.

Hope to return next year.

Peter and Ann, Cardiff, September 2007

We had an enjoyable stay at Willow Gite and are very inspired by what you have achieved here. What a peaceful setting. A real chill out zone

We thoroughly enjoyed going around Josselin Chateau, the Chateau at Pontivy and the Chateau of Sarzeau, and spent a lovely day at Pont-Avon

We will happily recommend your Gites to our friends and family, and wish you both (all) well for the future.

Stef and Richard, Paignton, Devon, September 2007

Our stay at “Le Grange Gites” has been lovely. The Gite had everything we needed and Simon, Lesley, Josh and Jake have been the perfect hosts. Beth and Sam enjoyed the garden and the pool, especially when Lesley and Jake joined them for a dip!

We’ve visited a few places but still feel there’s more to see – favourites included Carnac beach and Locmine market – although nowhere has disappointed us.

The aquarium and butterfly garden in Vannes was a lovely day out on a not so sunny day.

We cannot thank you enough for the welcome we received and the on-going friendship you gave us throughout the week.

The kids have loved feeding the chickens and seeing Daisy the rabbit and I have a feeling they’ll be wanting more than just goldfish when we get home.

We’ve already told friends of ours about the Gites and hopefully we’ll come to stay again…… if you’ll have us! Many thanks again and all the best for the future, we’re sure that 4th Gite will be up and running in no time.

Best wishes, Rachel, Brendan, Beth and Sam, Lytham, St Annes, Lancashire, August 2007

We have had a lovely week here. The weather has been excellent. The accommodation has been first class. The boys have had a really good time playing with Jake.

We have found this to be a particularly beautiful part of Brittany particularly trips to: -

Quiberon – Beautiful beaches on the peninsular which were not crowded

Sculpture Parc – Plenty of space for the boys to run around

Josselin – Lovely medieval town with nice creperie’s

We have had a very warm welcome from Simon, Lesley, Jake and Josh and loved the eggs and courgettes. Hope to be back next summer luv

We have had a great week at “Le Grange Gites” the Willow Gite has been a great place to stay. Immaculate, very comfortable and pleasant. In a very peaceful setting, perfect for children and families alike.

We visited plenty of places including all those previously mentioned by other guests; but particularity liked the beach at “Le Baule” – beautiful!

Nantes was a busy place, plenty of shops and great trams.

We visited the “Prehistoric Park” at Malansac, which was very interesting, and Nazin only 5 minutes away.

We found “Le Churrasco” restaurant a great place to eat as well as “La Argoate” (Opposite Le Relais de la Gare) – excellent, also open in the evening for a 3 course meal

Lesley, Simon, Josh and Jake have made our stay more enjoyable, they were extremely helpful and very friendly. Morgan enjoyed collecting eggs from the chickens and the courgettes were very tasty.

We wish you all the very best for further future success

The Pitmans (Magor, Monmouthshire) Wales, August 2007

We have had a lovely time here in Willow Gite. We found the sculpture park really good. Also within a short drive we enjoyed Nazin, as a relaxing place to go with plenty to do. Even though the weather was not great there was still plenty to do.

Josselin was picturesque and interesting, here we especially enjoyed the crepes at “Le Creperie de la Centre”

The Vannes market was an excellent day out and we enjoyed a long walk along Sene beach.

Locmine market was well worth a visit for excellent variety of fish / seafood.

The Gite itself has been superb and Lesley and Simon have thought of everything to make it an excellent place to come on holiday. We would definitely recommend it to our families and friends

Our favourite holiday moments:

Zoe – 26 – Cycling to Moreac for Croissants

Tom – 26 – Collecting shells Gulf du Morbihan, Crepes and Far Breton cake etc

Helen – 27 – Playing mini golf at Nazin by the picturesque lake

Ryan – 28 – Playing on the sculptures and climbing trees in Sene, Eating Pizza

Zoe, Tom, Helen & Ryan, Chichester, West Sussex, August 2007

Had a great week although weather didn't permit us to see Brittany at its best. Loved the Beaches and very central location, would definitely think of coming back

Ian, Sarah, James and Daniel, Billerilay, Essex, August 2007

We have had a wonderful stay in the Gite, despite the weather not having been on our side. The accommodation itself was superlative and extremely child friendly, (as were the “personnel”).

Leila (our 4 year old) adores Jake and is determined that he should live in our shed in the UK. Jakob (our 2 year old) was equally enthusiastic about Jakes company. The added touches are what make the Gite so special. The DVD loans, Ice Cream, eggs, milk, essential fridge stocking, the BBQ and the Pool are wonderful.

There is a substantial amount to see and enjoy within a distance of a relatively pain free car journey.

We have never had such a thoroughly relaxing holiday with the children and we would be overjoyed to recommend the Gites to anyone. Simon, Lesley Josh and Jake keep up the good work.

Faraz, Susanne, Leila and Jakob, Meldreth, Hertfordshire, August 2007

Dear Simon. Lesley, Josh and Jake. Thankyou so much for making our stay so comfortable. We have all really enjoyed it here and cannot express it enough on this page.

The Gites are beautifully finished, clean, comfortable and well equipped. We especially enjoyed using the shower! The outside space is excellent. Jacob has enjoyed fishing etc …with Josh and Jake and the girls have really enjoyed feeding the quails, chicken and rabbit!

We have found this an excellent base for touring, really enjoying our trips to La Baule, which is 1 ¼ hours away and well worth the trip.

Last and certainly not least, you are all so lucky to live in such a beautiful area, with such lovely neighbours. The Gites are a credit to your hard work and you are such a friendly and welcoming family, the Gites I am sure, will be a great success.

We have had a great holiday and look forward to seeing you in May again!

Lots of Love Vickie, Cae, Jacob (10), Felice (5) and Fleur (1) xx Cambridge, August 2007

We've had a lovely week at "Le Grange Gites". The Gite its self is the lightest, airiest and best laid out that we've stayed in so far.

We enjoyed the kind gifts of fresh courgettes and quail eggs from the host's garden. Our favourite beaches are Men Du, with the island and causeway, and Carnac Plage with the igloos ice-cream parlour. Lots to discover in the back lanes of Vannes, buskers, shops and lots of bars.

We tried the creperie in Locmine called La Blanche Hermine and it was very good, local and authentic.

Thanks to Lesley, Simon and the boys. We all had a fantastic break.

Carolyn, John, Max and Ruby, Surrey, August 2007

Thank you Lesley and Simon for making our holiday so enjoyable. The Gite is comfortable, well equipped and the garden is fantastic for the children. It was lovely to see our 4 year old running around in such a safe environment. You have thought of everything, from the tips for days out to the DVD loans.

We can recommend La Baule resort very cosmopolitan with the Roller Blades and upper class boutiques. The restaurant was a little expensive but worth it just to sit close to the beach and admire the view.

Josselin is a must with its breathtaking Chateau and can recommend the Crepes next to the canal, also close to the Chateau the animal park, Branfere was excellent and the children loved it.

There are a couple of places just 10 minuets away, the lake just outside Nazin and the Parc de Sculptures - just outside Bignan, with its Chateau.

We will recommend your Gites to family and friends and wish you well with your business.

Karen, Gary, Millie and James, Darlington, Co Durham, August 2007

We have had a very relaxing week and the time has flown by. We have enjoyed several walks in the immediate vicinity. But also very much enjoyed our Birdwatching trips to Sene and Suscinio marshes (a total of 87 species seen). Combining these with several swims.

The facilities of the Gite are excellent as we expected, having viewed the website, and it is very conveniently situated for food shopping etc.

We thought the communal areas were excellent for families even though we did not make use of them ourselves; we really loved the peace and quiet.

Lesley and Trevor, Guernsey, Channel Islands, August 2007

Had a lovely week in Willow Gite. The time has flown by with so many things to see and do - can't believe its time to go home tomorrow.

The Gite is very comfortable and well equipped and the children have had a great time playing in the garden. Thank you, Lesley and Simon, for being so friendly and helpful and making us feel so welcome.

We have visited many places but would particularly recommend La Plage du Men Du near Carnac, where Adam found lots of crabs, and the town of Josselin with its lovely chateau. The chateau at Bignan, with its Parc de sculptures is well worth a visit and entry is free. All the best.

Helen, Andy, Laura and Adam, Ely, Cambridgeshire, August 2007

We have had a most enjoyable time in France, relaxed for 2 weeks in this idyllic location.

Simon, Lesley, Josh and Jake have made us feel so welcome that I am certain we will return - possibly to find a place of our own!

We will miss the daily visits of Ben the cat! You have made a fantastic job of the Gites and we will recommend you to everyone and hope to see you again. Thankyou very much.

Mark and Sue, N.U.F.C supporters, Wigan, Lancashire, July 2007

We've had a lovely week here. This is a great base to explore this part of Brittany, made all the more pleasant by the friendliness of the hosts.

We've had great day trips to:

· Josselin, lovely medieval town with excellent creperie's (and you can hire boats or bikes along the canal)
· Carnac and Locmariquer for amazing megalithic sites and the beaches near Carnac a tonic for our 4 year old!
· The sculpture parc at Kerguenhec was wonderful with a picnic
· And we really liked Vannes - The old town for the adults and the aquarium for the kids

And of course coming home for a dip in the pool

Matthew, Ruth, Jeremy, Helena and Kate, Wellington, New Zealand, July 2007

We have had a great time, it is very comfortable and friendly. The local restaurants are good, especially the "Routier de Gare", and we appreciate the care you have taken to give us interesting places to visit and recommend Josselin castle and Isle de Moines in particular.

Henman family, Brighton, Sussex, July 2007

In travelling to France for the past 15 years this has been our first experience of a Gite. The high standard achieved here by Simon and Lesley will be hard to beat, they have created a welcoming, warm and friendly atmosphere.

Robert has been asking if we can come back for a weekend to visit Jake!!

If you can tear yourself away from these idyllic surroundings, some places to visit are:

· Carnac Plage (N 47 Deg 34.203' W 003 Deg 04.655) and visit the L'igloo for your ice cream.
· Quiberon.
· La Baule - one of the biggest beaches in Europe
· Auray - especially the old quarter
· Josselin - climb the church spire / tower for a view
· Vannes - step back in time

We wish Simon, Lesley, Josh and Jake well in this venture.

Leslie, Sandra, Judith and Robert, Saintfield, N. Ireland, July 2007

Thank you for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The Gites are excellent and the perfect base for all our touring. Thank you for your hospitality, you've been so friendly and helpful. Would recommend the restaurant "Auberge de la Ville au Vent" in Locmine. We treated ourselves on the last night, a bit more expensive but worth it! Good luck and we will see you again when we are in Morbihan.

Gran, Grandad, Jason, Lizette, Jasmine and Araon Devon, July 2007

We have had a wonderful holiday at Le Grange Gites. The accommodation and facilities are superb. The sitting provided a tranquil haven from which to explore the Morbihan region. With a 5 year and 20 month old, The Aquarium and Butterfly Park in Vannes, the animal park at Branfere, the beaches in Carnac and la-Trinite-sur-Mer are essential. We also liked the atmosphere in Vannes old town.

Our experience at Le Grange Gites was greatly enhanced by the warmth of your hospitality. We felt more like friends than customers. The rapport that all your family extended to us, your accessibility, advice and inclusion were much appreciated, all the child friendly and safety features were fantastic.

We would also like to thank-you for your warm hospitality and helpfulness. Our stay here was very comfortable and relaxed. The kids had a wonderful time; facilities for kids here are great. Hopefully we will return, as we have enjoyed our stay so much. Thanks so much for everything - Sarah would like to pass on her thanks for the fishing and she'll miss Jake. As a family we would like to wish you all the best in the future. The pictures on your web site do not do your Gites justice!

Justin, Kathy, Sarah and Sean, Co Meath, Ireland, July 2007

We have had a lovely week here. You have all been so friendly, and the Gite is superb - can't believe you did all the work between the two of you. We would definitely come back again and are sure your new business will do very well. Good luck, and thankyou

Sue, Martin, Pauline and Sarah, Somerset, July 2007

We have had a wonderful holiday - this Gite felt like home from home with all the facilities we needed and a warm welcome from Lesley and Simon and their family.
Daniel loved the "enormous" pool with steps. The garden is perfect for small children. He will especially remember collecting eggs from the chicken house and seeing his first toad!
We did lots of days out and can highly recommend the castle at Suscinio for lots of variety, nooks and crannies (we even saw a play being rehearsed on the ramparts!).
The beach at Suscinio reminded us of New Zealand - long white sand, (the one near Arzon is calmer water with better sand for castles!).
We loved the market on Thursday and brought lots of delicious fresh seafood. Recommend the little creperie on the corner in Locmine (old building with beams). The aquarium at Vannes was perfect for a rainy day - very friendly!
Thankyou for a fantastic holiday, we will be back!!

Alice, Phil and Daniel, Somerset, June 2007

We have enjoyed our stay with you. All your family have been friendly and helpful and we wish you every success in the coming years.

Carol and Chris, Norfolk, April 2007

Thankyou to you all for a very pleasant week. The Gite is lovely and a credit to your hard work.

Josh, Catherine and children, Norfolk, April 2007

Thankyou Simon, Lesley, Josh and Jake for a great week. You have been so welcoming and hospitable. Ivy Gite is lovely and has been comfortable for us all. We have really enjoyed the log burner during the evenings! The girls have especially loved feeding the chickens, collecting the eggs and having them for breakfast was a treat! Oh and Benabar was a loved playmate too! You have certainly helped us with our search for a house here and answering our endless questions too! We really appreciate your help and advice. Thankyou. Good luck with your Gite business and we hope to be back soon. All the best.
