Reguiny, Museum & Village Lake

Just 8 Minutes from the Gites is the village of Reguiny, the village has some traditional French shops, as well as a lovely lake for a stroll around (45 minutes stroll to cover the entire lake) with many things to do ideal for a Picnic or a stroll around at the end of a day out

Also there is a very good War Museum next to the lake, run by a French lady who speaks good English for a guide, part of the museum is dedicated to the English pilot John Clifford, who died on the outskirts of the village, whilst flying missions in his spitfire to bomb German bases in Lorient, Vannes and Nantes, All pilots were on the lookout for the German military whilst on route, John saw a Lorry and made one pass to try to hit it, missed and on his second much lower pass, to avoid being hit, he struck a tree and crashed. We would personally highly recommend a trip to this museum, the entry price is approx 5 euros per adult, children under 10 are free, but must be accompanied by an adult
